This website is operated by Half Day Thursdays Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. I'm Eliot Prince, the sole director, and eliotprince.com is my personal site. The company is the data controller for the information described below.

This policy explains how I collect, use and protect your personal information when you visit eliotprince.com. Half Day Thursdays Ltd also operates halfdaythursdays.com, which has its own policy covering the masterclass and the paid programmes.
When you subscribe to the newsletter or download something free, I collect your email address and your first name if you give it. That is stored by Kit, my email provider, along with a record of what you opened and clicked.
When you email me, I keep the email and your address so I can reply and pick up the thread next time.
When you visit the site, Google Analytics collects pages visited, time on site, referring source, device type and approximate location from your IP address, but only if you have agreed to analytics cookies. This is not anonymous data. Analytics sets an identifier that links your visits together over time, which makes it personal data under UK law even though I never see your name attached to it. If you decline, none of it is collected.
I do not buy personal data from anyone and I will never sell, rent or share your email address.
| What I do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Send you the weekly newsletter, AI recipes and resources | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Tell you occasionally about products or services I offer | Consent |
| Reply when you email me | Legitimate interests |
| Understand how the site is used so I can improve it | Consent, given through the cookie banner |
| Keep records accurate and accounts in order | Legal obligation, and legitimate interests |
I do not use analytics data for advertising and I do not share it with anyone.
Some pages contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These are tools I use and recommend, and I link to them whether or not there is a commission on offer. The companies behind those links collect their own data when you visit their sites, governed by their own privacy policies rather than this one.
Essential cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie choices. They do not track you.
Analytics cookies only load if you agree. When you first visit you will see a banner. Google Analytics does not run until you accept, and you can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor apart from another | 2 years |
| _ga_[container id] | Google Analytics | Keeps the session state | 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor apart from another | 24 hours |
| Consent cookie | This site | Remembers what you chose on the banner | 12 months |
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, and Google offers an opt-out add-on.
This site uses the following third-party services that may process your data:
| Who | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Kit | Email marketing. kit.com/privacy | United States |
| Google Analytics | Website analytics. policies.google.com/privacy | United States |
| Replit | Website hosting. replit.com/site/privacy | United States |
Each only gets what it needs to do its job, and each is bound by terms that limit what it can do with your data.
All three companies above are based in the United States. Where your data leaves the UK it is covered either by the UK's adequacy decision for the US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified, or by the International Data Transfer Agreement. Email me if you want to know which applies to a specific provider.
I keep your email address for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, you come off the active list and I keep a minimal suppression record so I do not email you again by accident. Emails you send me are kept for three years. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Access to this data is limited to me. Accounts use strong unique passwords and two-factor authentication wherever the provider supports it. No system is perfectly secure, but if something happens that puts you at risk I will tell you, and the ICO, within 72 hours of finding out.
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom and it works immediately. Once you unsubscribe I stop sending, and Kit may keep anonymised records for its own analytics.
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:
You can also withdraw consent at any time, for emails or for cookies, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
Email hey@eliotprince.com and I will respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is clearly excessive or repetitive.
Come to me first at hey@eliotprince.com and I will try to sort it.
I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes get posted here with an updated date. If a change is significant, I will tell subscribers by email.
